This is a great campaign and goes a long way to getting people to rethink a brand that might not be at the top of your shopping list.

Halo3 Believe Campaign
Halo is clearing up at the awards winning best of show at One Show and ADC. Good news for AKQA/McCanns/RSA. Will it win the Grand Prix at Cannes. This is first evidence of getting a large big brand launch right across all media absolutely right.

I am Mercedes new ad
What a perfect piece of timing on the tail of 'No Country for Old Men' awards success. It may be a bit 90s cliche but I like it, perfectly directed and shot.

what kids are not watching TV...

Digital kids ditch homework for networking
(The Guardian)
British 15-to-19-year-olds admit spending significantly less time doing homework than they used to as a result of their use of social-networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace and Bebo, according to research published today. While teachers and parents will be dismayed, the 2008 Digital Entertainment Survey also makes uncomfortable reading for commercial TV executives. bravia bunny ad

i like it but for all the wrong reasons. i think the people being left in makes it feel stop frame(which it is) and also gives you the sense of scale. The jumpy feel is good.
The only problem is that balls can't be topped because it was just so simple, dump a load of balls from a JCB digger and film. Adding complexity to the idea isn't making it any better. I don't like the way the bunnies are processed into boring cubes at the end to represent pixels and the music is crap. Apart from that it's great animation and filming.

stella site launches

The one everyone has been waiting for, InBev switch their TV strategy to online. Stella's site estimated to cost £2million created by Lowe. This site is film rich media. At first look I'm impressed although I dislike the way the passive and interactive experience is separated out, why? Some of the game play is not intuitive enough, leaving you to poke the thing to death.
This will be setting the bar for the ad and drink industry now. Clients will have to wake up to the fact that 100K budgets for digital just doesn't cut the mustard any more. Can we stop talking about digital as being the add on thing now?
