another titanium award chalked up

I've seen the idea for latest Titanium award before.
BikesAgainstBush
There was another artist group in NY that did this 4 years back. People texted or emailed their message and a bicycle sprayed it on the side walk or road in real time. The artists at the time got into trouble and arrested by the NYPD.

Now with a corporate sponsor and a big event behind this technology it's award winning and celebrated in the Tour de France. Funny how the backing of a large brand can make technology legitimate. The technology is not new, you didn't invent it you just used it, just be honest about that in your award entry.

040508 sundaze

I took this pic while out in farringdon, I just like the typography where the number is cut up. It remind me of an old telephone number. Then when i looked closely i saw the website for parties, my mobile phone camera is better than I give it credit for.

Herb Lubalin

Herb Lubalin was the typographer that made me want to work in advertising. He made type have a whole new layer of meaning, he some how managed to mix the best of European design (Avant Garde) with the best of American brashness. His scamps were art pieces in themselves. Good to see this poster, it feels so relevant.

group94 are very good

94 are one of the best digital creative shops around. They deserve their fwa hall of fame.

Their CMS is simple and elegant, they understand the use of typography and grids
(rare in the 'centre every menu' school of digital thought) illustrated in their own site and the msk gent site. Just simple things like most of their loading bars are a line that then gets slightly fatter to show progress. Their continuing video excuse for not doing their own site keeps me coming back for more. Make's you want to move to Belgium, well visit it anyway.
